In the United States, there are about 13,000 congregations of the Churches of Christ with approximately 1.25 million members.
However, there is no central headquarters nor common creed which connects each of these autonomous congregations.
Members of the Cheyenne Church of Christ look only to the Bible for our authority in matters of worship and church organization. Likewise, we strive to proclaim the gospel message of salvation in the exact terms and conditions expressed by New Testament writers.
The name “Church of Christ” is used because it is a biblical name (Rom 16:16) and because it accurately reflects our esteem for Jesus Christ as the head of His church (Ephesians 1:22-23; Matthew 16:18). It’s our desire that His will be accomplished in everything we do and say.
